Octgn - Online Magic

I've been using it for a number of months now as a great way to try out constructed decks at zero upfront cost and fit in more games of Magic (I typically play at least four games a day thanks to the twins :whistle ). It has a good deck editor with a comprehensive search engine to find what you need. The match connection engine has always worked well with no noticable lag or problems connecting. In short it does what it says on the tin and is updated regularly for the latest cards and features. :beer

Recently the developers have added in support for sealed with support for draft coming very soon. Sealed works very well, you can mix and match any combination of boosters from any release, so say two of: Beta, Shards and Worldwake :drool , it then shows you all the cards you've "opened" in your boosters and you then get to make a deck & sideboard from the contents that you can use in a series of games.

Anybody else tried it?

Not seen this before, but have used a selection of programs in the past. Only really played with my brother as he's at the other side of the country. Otherwise, I'd rather play people face-to-face.

Just remembered the name - Apprentice. Sadly seems to have died off now!

Octgn is a big step up from Apprentice, its much more flexible for one thing. Its no substitute for playing face to face but face to face isn't always possible.

Ooh, I forgot, Octgn supports Planechase as well.
